If there is one thing that really captures the tourist appeal of Ventosa it is its location on the road to Santiago de Compostela. The village is located along the “French Route“, and although not many pilgrims wander its streets, there is a path that takes you to the heart of the village with its beautiful views. From there, and looking towards Najera, you can see the Alto de San Anton and the milestones known as the Hitos del Camino, a number of stone groupings that symbolize the burden left in their path by the pilgrims.
